Angela Genge, MD

Angela Genge, Director of Genge Partners, has always been committed to providing care and therapy to all.

Founded in 2021, Dr Angela Genge brings her 25+ years of experience as an internationally recognized opinion leader in the spaces of drug design and rare disease to Genge Partners.

Combining the efficiencies of a private practice setting and the expertise of an academic clinical trial setting, Genge Partners will provide access to patient populations and operational expertise to you and your partners. 

Over the course of her career, Dr Genge has championed upcoming and new therapies to international audiences including South Africa, Colombia, the Gulf Region, North America and Europe.

  • She has chaired both national and international advisory committees in ALS, SMA, MG, Pain, and neurological disorders, as well as participating in industry advisory boards at companies such as Biogen, Alexion, Als-Pharma, Cytokinetics, Mitsubishi Tanabe, Wave Life Therapies, Sanofi Genzyme, Anelixis, Anavex, Akcea Therapeutics, AB Sciences, CSL Behring, Novartis, Takeda, among others.

    Dr Genge has spent the past 17 years growing the Clinical Research Unit at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital into the most active neuroscience clinical research unit in the country, conducting over 110 trials annual from Phase 1 to Phase 4 in over 15 disease areas. During this time, she managed to found the ALS Center of Excellence, an international model for ALS clinical care, and the first of its kind Phase 1 Unit. Currently, she is working to create a national rare disease network that promises to revolutionize clinical research across the country.

    She has also had the opportunity to train and mentor over 30 clinicians to enable them to become principal investigators in their respective disciplines thus having a track record of supporting the PI role as well as executing the PIs themselves.

    Dr. Genge earned her medical degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Neurology, prior to completing a Neuromuscular Disease Fellowship at McGill University. She has recently completed her executive MBA through Lancaster University. Renowned for her patient advocacy and passion for quality and innovation in drug development, Dr. Genge has received numerous awards throughout her career, most recently the Forbes Norris Award, DIVA of Distinction Award and the Governor General Diamond Jubilee award.

We offer state-of-the-art facilities with a full range of equipment to meet the needs of several stages of a research protocol: evaluation, analysis and follow-up. 

Our facilities are conducive to the confidentiality and well-being of each patient and are located within the hubs of Brunswick Medical Center, resulting in a high volume of traffic of over 6000 patients per day.
